The NTDA’s Sales Manager Workshop is designed for top level dealership and sales departmental leaders to understand key concepts in measuring and improving operations performance and financial results. It will provide participants the ability to effectively interpret data from financial reports, analyze operational information, and make sound business decisions impacting performance drivers to improve the financial results of their sales department. Sept, 9-10, 2013 - Excellence in Parts Department Operations - Location TBA
The NTDA’s Excellence in Parts Department Operations Seminar is designed for top level dealership and departmental leaders to understand key concepts for increasing economic profit performance in the parts and service departments. You will have the ability to effectively interpret data from financial reports, analyze operational information, and make sound business decisions impacting profit drivers to improve profit of their parts and service departments. This intensive course enables an upper level manager to get their hands around a single department in just two days.
Nov. 4-5, 2013 - Excellence in Service Department Operations - Location TBA
The NTDA Excellence in Service Department Operations Workshop will teach you how to calculate gross profit return on sales, and operating profit return on gross and sales and compare to profiles to determine if the service department is retaining proper percentages. This workshop explains why Work in Progress increases and decreases, and why it is important for the (WIP) balance at month end to agree with the balance in the open Repair Order (RO) report. Learn how to calculate hours produced in the shop per day and recognize the impact on technician efficiency, shop productivity, and technician proficiency. Identify the three types of work produced in the shop and determine how this work mix directly affects the hours produced per RO. Gain a better understanding of your role as the Service Advisor. Recognize how to Maximize Economic Service Profit (MESP®). Develop action plans in the form of a balanced scorecard(s) to realize service department performance improvement opportunities.
