Fuel saving aerodynamic component is maintenance free for life of trailer
Great Dane Trailers will offer Transtex Composite's Maximum Flex Skirt (MFS) as its standard to customers who choose aerodynamic components on their trailers.
The Transtex Composite MFS yields fuel savings of up to 7%, according to SAE Type II J1321 track testing results. In addition, the side skirt is made of lightweight reinforced thermoplastic composite panels that will not rust, corrode or require any maintenance for the life of the trailer, according to the manufacturer. A comprehensive five-year warranty is also included.
Because of its design, the Transtex patent pending MFS can flex if it comes in contact with an obstacle in order to prevent damage and retain its shape. The panels are also waterproof and reduce ice and snow accumulation, helping reduce splashing to improve driver visibility.
Transtex MFS fairings are EPA SmartWay verified and fully compliant with California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations.
